Cultural Resources Management
4G Consulting offers experience in archaeological, historical, and ethnographic projects in both public and private sectors, and in academic settings. Past performance by the company has included project management and direction, development of research designs and data recovery plans, budgeting and negotiating task orders under Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, site inventories, site evaluations, and data recovery excavations. Specialized studies have included architectural documentation for historic register properties eligible for listing on Historic Registers, geoarchaeology, geophysical testing, ceramic analysis, osteological analysis, lithic analysis, soil analysis, geographic information systems design, and regional survey modeling, to name a few.
4G Consulting has experience working with numerous State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs), including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Vermont, Rhode Island, California, Oklahoma, and Kansas. We have a thorough understanding of the relevant preservation statutes. We have evaluated numerous prehistoric and historic sites and properties for eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places.
Project Presentation
The information gathered during research or surveying must eventually be created into a final product. Report production, graphics, electronic media products, and all presentations linked to a project, are the responsibility of company owner Joanne Moyer Rust. Her degree in Multimedia Graphics allows her to design reports that are reader-friendly, visually interesting, and reflect the individual needs of our clients. Her vast experience in the use of word-processing programs, as well as graphic design software, qualifies her to oversee all aspects of report presentation: the coordination of text contributions; the text and graphic layout; the accurate digital rendering of maps and drawings; the scanning, optimization, and color-correction of digital and 35mm photographs; the digital printing as well as binding; and the production of electronic versions of all our reports onto CD for our clients benefit.
